Classroom Management Plan
Teacher Belief statement: I believe that students learn best when they are actively engaged in lessons. I believe teachers should create a classroom atmosphere that makes students feel safe and welcome. I believe that teachers must adapt to meet their students’ needs while creating an environment where they know they will be treated fairly.

Seating arrangements: Seats will be assigned on the first day of class. Students are expected to sit in assigned seat each day. Seating my change based on behavior of students in class.
Engagement strategies: Students will be called on to answer question during the course of lecture. Students are expected to participate. If you do not know the answer rest assured we will figure it out together.
Getting help: If a student needs help during independent work they should raise their hand and I will come to them. If they have a question during instruction I will either call on them or motion them to write down their question and call on them at an appropriate time.
Student movement: Student should remain in their seat unless given permission to get up.
IV: Group activities:
When engaged in group activities such as games, boardwork, and student reports all students are expected to sit quietly and show classmates the respect they would wish to be shown.
V. Behavioral Feedback:
A. Positive reinforcement: To encourage students to follow our class rules, I will support appropriate behavior with praise and classroom incentives.
B. Correction:
1st Offense: discipline sentences
2nd Offense: After school detention
3rd Offense: Referrel-saturday school
4th Offense: removal from class
VI. Academic feedback:
A. Grades:
The students 6 weeks grade will be determined by a mix of homework, classwork, quizzes, and tests in the percentages below.
50% Tests
20% homework
30% class work/quizzes
B. Make up work:
Any work not completed by due date will be assessed a 30% penalty. All makeup work must be completed by Thursday of last week of six weeks.
C. Communication with students:
All communication with students will be thru school email addresses or Remind101 app.
D. Communication with parents:
Parents will be communicated with thru email or phone based on preference. Parents may also be included in any communication thru Remind101.

I. Classroom Procedures:
- Students are to enter room and be seated working on bell work problem when class starts.
- All students not in seat without permission will receive a guideline infraction notice with appropriate discipline. Will received detention for each tardy starting with the 3rd per six week.
- In the event of an excused absence the student will be allowed 2 days to complete any missed assignments.
- When turning in class assignments students will place work in appropriate homework tray. If the student has not completed their work they should fill out a missing homework form.
- Students are expected to follow class rules and participate in the learning environment.
Dissimal:
- The teacher dismisses the class not the bell.
- Do not start packing up to leave until instructed to do so.
II. Class Rules:
- Be seated and quietly working on bell work when the bell rings
- Be prepared for class, to include having pencil, notebook, and paper.
- Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
- Speak when appropriate.
- Be engaged and participate in classroom activities.
